At Cut Above Landscapes Ltd, we recently completed a rewarding project in Beeston for our customer Maureen. The job involved a complete overhaul of her outdoor space using composite garden decking and fencing, adding practicality and style whilst making her garden easier to maintain.
When we first visited Maureen’s property, it was clear that she wanted a change—something practical, low maintenance but aesthetically pleasing. She had grown tired of her traditional wooden fencing, which needed regular upkeep. After discussing her requirements and design preferences, we suggested composite materials for both the decking and the fencing, as they offer the durability she was looking for while requiring minimal effort to maintain. Composite materials are designed to withstand the test of time, providing a long-term solution that perfectly suited Maureen’ requirements.
The first part of the project focused on replacing the existing wooden fencing with composite fencing. Composite fencing is an excellent choice for several reasons. It’s made from a blend of wood fibres and plastic, meaning it doesn’t warp, crack, or rot like traditional wooden fences often do.
Another advantage of composite fencing is that it comes in a variety of colours and finishes, enabling us to match it perfectly to the existing style of her home and garden. The installation process was smooth, and the fencing provides her with greater security and privacy. Made from recycled plastic materials, composite fencing is environmentally responsible, which was an added bonus.
Next, we turned our attention to the decking area. The key benefit of composite decking is its durability. Unlike wood, composite decking is resistant to fading, stains, and scratches, making it an ideal choice for outdoor spaces that experience frequent use. Maureen was particularly pleased that the decking required no annual treatments or resealing, giving her the freedom to enjoy her garden year-round without the hassle of added maintenance.
The composite garden decking we installed is also slip-resistant, which ensures safe usage even in wet weather. This was an important feature for Maureen, as she enjoys spending time outside regardless of the season. Composite decking is known for its longevity, and its low-maintenance qualities make it a popular choice for homeowners looking for practical yet stylish outdoor spaces. With its sleek appearance and practical design, the decking truly transformed Maureen’s garden into an inviting area for relaxing and entertaining guests.
The transformation was remarkable. With the new composite decking and fencing, Maureen’s garden is now a low-maintenance and aesthetically pleasing space. She can now enjoy more leisure time outdoors without having to worry about constant upkeep. The before, during, and after photos truly capture the change that has taken place.
